SKIING

Pre-Elbrus is one of the three biggest alpine skiing resorts of Russia. It offers unique possibilities for alpine skiers. In the deepness of the Baksan Valley you may visit the national park «Pre-Elbrus» - the heart of the Caucasus. It is famous for skiing with lifting on ratraka, snowboard, ski-extreme, heli-ski. There are 12 km of ski lifting and 21 km alpine routes, 2 main slopes. Cheget and Elbrus towns (the heights is 5642) in Pre-Elbrus. Mountain skiing is available all year round in some parts of the slopes. The highest available top is shelter Gara-Bashi, the height is 3900 m above sea level and you can reach it by a ski lift. Some parts of alpine routes are also suitable for beginners. Sometimes ratrak can deliver tourists even on the heights of 4800 m above sea level. The length of the longest route of Azay resort is 2.5 km with a charge of levels of 650 m.
Cheget town - is one of the most difficult routes in the world alpine skiing resorts. There are 15 routes in the world alpine skiing resorts. There are 15 routes with changeable heights from 2100 to 3050 m in Pre-Elbrus. The height is 3700 m. There is a mineral source small narzan Achi-Su near the Terskol village. For alpine skiers there are such hotels as «Cheget», «Volfram», «Terskol», “Itkol”, «Hijina Azau›. Private hotels on Chegetskaya Polyana are also available in the resort.
Distance: Terskol - Minvody - 190 km, Terskol - Nalchik - 130 km.
Number of ski lifts: on Cheget - 5, on Elbrus - 6.
Skiing zone: Cheget 2100-3550 m, Elbrus 2280-3800 m.
Length of the slopes: Cheget - 10 km, Elbrus - 11 km.

Cheget

Location: 2 km from the village Terskol close to a deep pine forest 2100m above sea level and 100m from the alpine routes and the ski lift of Cheget.The ski lift of Elbrus is in 5 km. It is an 8-storey building, containing 340 beds.
In the hotel: dining hall, restaurant, bar, cafe, trunk-line, medical room, workshops and rental of mountain skiing stock, ski storage, billiard room, sauna, tennis-court, playing field, car park.
Rooms: single, double and triple-rooms, toilet per two rooms (2+3 and 2+1). There are also 2 rooms suites and semi- suites with toilet, shower, satelite TV, phone, radio, refrigerator and additional sofa.

Volfram

Location: in the village Terscol, 2075 m above sea level, in 2 km from the ski lift «Ñheget» and in 4 km from the ski lift «Elbrus». Courtesy car will transfer you to the slopes of Elbrus and Cheget. It is one of the best tourist complexes of the Nothen Caucasas.
In the hotel: 2 restaurants, 3 bars, sauna with 3 swimming pools, billiard, medical room, ski storage with drier.
Rooms: single, double, triple rooms with toilet, shower, TV set ans refrigerator; 2-rooms semi-suites.

Chyran

Location: in the village Terskol on the Cheget glade in the pine forest. 2075 m above sea level.Ski lift of Cheget is located in 100 m from the hotel. Ski lift of Elbrus is in 5 km. It is a 3-storey building, containing 18 beds. It is the most comfortable hotel of Pre-Elbrus.
In the hotel: fireplace hall, dinning hall, cafe-bar, car park, rental of mountain skiing stock, school of trainers. Two- or three-time meals including traditional dishes.
Rooms: rooms of an unitized type: blocks 1+2. Toilet and shower on the block, balcony, TV set. There are several 2-rooms suites also.

Goryanka

Location: on the turn to the Cheget glade. The ski lift of Cheget is in 800 m, the ski lift of Elbrus is in 4 km.
In the hotel: cafe-bar with a fireplace hall, ski storage, barbecue, car park.
Rooms: Double rooms with toilet and shower per 4 rooms.

Itkol

Location: in the pine forest in 1,8 km from ski lift of Cheget and in 6 km from ski lift of Elbrus. It is a 5-storey building, containing 270 beds. There is regular courtesy car to the ski lift of Cheget and Elbrus.
In the hotel: dining hall, restaurant, cafe, medical room, workshop and rental of mountain skiing stock, ski storage, sauna, playing field and football field, underground garage for 10 cars.
Rooms: Singles, double, triple rooms with toilet and shower. TV set in the hall.

Terskol

Location: in the village Terskol. The ski lift of Cheget is in 1.5 km, the ski lift of Elbrus is in 4 km. There is regular courtesy car to the ski lifts.
In the hotel: dining-hall, bar, beer-bar, billiard, covered swimming pool 25 m, gym, Ping-Pong, covered tennis-court, sauna, workshop and rental of mountain skiing stock, ski storage, medical room, library, barbershop.
Rooms: Doubles and triples with toilet, shower and balcony.

Gornye Vershiny

Location: in the village Dombai close to lower station of ski lifts. 8-storey hotel is designed for 400 tourists.
In the hotel: two disco-bars, swimming pool 25m, sauna, bowling, billiard, concert hall for 400 seats, lounge, medical room, car-park, international telephone booth, rental of mountain skiing stock.
Rooms: double and triple rooms with toilet and shower, one-room semi suites, suites with toilet, shower, TV set, refrigerator.

Kristall

Private hotel of cottage type built and opened this year. It is available for 20 tourists. Location: on Dombai glade opposite to the hotel Gornye Vershiny, in 100 m to ski lifts, on abrupt rocky coast of the river Amanauz.
In the hotel: restaurant, bar, rental of mountain skiing stock, ski instructor.
Rooms: double rooms with toilet and shower in the block, TV set for extra pay; suites with toilet shower, TV set refrigerator.

Snezhinka

Location: on Dombai glade, 1750 m above sea level, close to the lower station of ski lifts.
In the hotel: restaurant (2 halls), Finnish sauna, bar, night bar with discotheque, billiard, game hall, satelite TV, swimming pool, rental of mountain skiing storage, national cuisine.
Rooms: singles, doubles, 2- and 3-rooms apartments for 4 people with fireplace, TV set, phone and refrigerator.

Solnechnaya Dolina

Location: on Dombai glade, close to the hotel Gornye Vershiny and lower station of ski lifts. It is a woody building of quaint architecture, designed for 70 tourists.
In the hotel: sauna with swimming pool, billiard, bar, lounge, rental of skiing stock, car park, laundry and fireplace hall..
Rooms: double and triple rooms with TV set, refrigerator, phone, fireplace hall, and also 2-rooms apartment for 3 and 4 people with shower, bathroom and spacious balcony.
