of the Russian language at the motherland of great Russian writer
Leo Tolstoy – his country estate “Yasnaya Polyana”
which is in Tula region. We welcome the students of any level
of knowledge from beginners to advanced learners. Flexible curricula
can be adobed to any duration of the course.
You’ll have the chance to find yourself in the poetical
atmosphere of the 19th century Russian country estates which
were the centres of of Russian culture, traditions and customs.
“Yasnaya Polyana” is still living its life of an
old country estate – horses (about 30 of them in the stables),
orchards, picturesque meadows. It preserves authentic look and
the spirit of Leo Tolstoy’s time and helps you to understand
the true sense of Russian time.

1st day
08.00 – Departure from Moscow
12.00 – Arrival to “Yasnaya Polyana” country
estate
- Accommodation at the hotel “Yasnaya Polyana”
- Acquaintance with the curators of the groups (who will work
with you during the whole programm)
12.30 – Lunch at the cafe “Preshpect”
13.30 – Russian Classes
15.00 – Excursion around the museum – estate of
Leo Tolstoy “Yasnaya Polyana”, forest reserve,
the house of Tolstoy
19.00 – Dinner at the cafe
2nd day
09.00 – Breakfast at the hotel
10.00 – 11.00 Russian Classes
11.30 – Interactive excursion in a coachman’s
izba (wooden house) which is on the territory of the estate
– tea from samovar, pies, the hostess in a traditional
Russian costume will tell you about traditions and customs
of Russian village. Riding on horse back and in carriage,
walk around the estate to the tomb of Tolstoy.

11.30 – Excursion to the historical reconstructed rail
way station “Kozlova Zaseka”, exposition “The
rail way of Tolstoy” (3 km far from museum)
12.30 – Excursion to Nickolo – Kochakovskaya church
and to Kochakovski Necropolis – the cemetry of the Tolstoy
family
14.00 - Lunch
15.00 – 16.00 Russian classes

4th day

11.30 – Departure for Tula, city tour with visiting
of the Kremlin
12.30 – Excursion to the museum of samovar/arms (by

The price depends on the quantity of people in the group.
The price for the group of 10 people is $ 466 per person including
hotel accommodation, 3 meals a day, Russian lessons, excursions,
transport and guide service.
